Słynny brylant Różowa Pantera znów zostaje skradziony. Prezydent bliskowschodniego państwa, Haleesh, wzywa na pomoc Inspektora Clouseau (Peter Sellers). Ten podejrzewa, że w sprawę zamieszany jest słynny złodziej sir Charles Litton (David Niven).
