Français : Ces armes, adoptées par le Conseil municipal le 30 juin 1922, furent approuvées par le Conseil d'Etat le 18 juillet 1922.
Historia obiektu
Français : Le désir de se distinguer des communes limitrophes, notamment d’Onex et Confignon auxquelles Bernex demeura rattachée jusqu'en 1860, se concrétisa en 1922, sous l'impulsion d'Alphonse Ferrand, alors Maire, qui prit l’initiative de créer des armoiries propres à Bernex. Le Maire décida de mettre en avant les éléments constitutifs de son patrimoine, tant paysager qu'agricole. Il entreprit de représenter le Signal, les feux naguère utilisés comme signaux optiques et enfin les grappes de raisins, symboles de la vigne.
