Deutsch: "Fig. 6. Wappen des Herzogtums Salzburg. Schild gespalten; vorn in Gold ein schwarzer Löwe, hinten in Rot eine silberne Binde. Auf dem Schilde ruht ein alter Herzogshut, der jetzt als Fürstenhut angesprochen wird. Das seit 1. Januar 1850 ein selbstständiges Kronland bildende alte Erzbistum führt seit Erzbischof Eberhard II. (1200-1246) das hohenstaufische (?) und österreichische Wappenbild im Schilde vereint."
