Sieć Checkers została założona w 1986 roku w Mobile w stanie Alabama. Z kolei Rally’s powstało w 1985 roku w Louisville w stanie Kentucky. W 1999 roku doszło do połączenia obu sieci^[2]^[3]. W 2020 roku do Checkers and Rally’s należało ponad 800 lokali^[4].
