Plemię obejmuje gatunki występujące w Ameryce Północnej, Ameryce Środkowej i północnej Ameryce Południowej[14].

- Pappogeomys Merriam, 1895 – goffertak – jedynym przedstawicielem jest Pappogeomys bulleri (O. Thomas, 1892) – goffertak stokowy
