Pazurogon^[4] (Onychogalea) – rodzaj ssaka z podrodziny kangurów (Macropodidae) w obrębie rodziny kangurowatych (Macropodidae).

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w północno-wschodniej Australii^[5]^[6]^[7].

Morfologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Długość ciała 34,5–109 cm, długość ogona 15–73,1 cm; masa ciała 1,8–9 kg^[8]^[6]^[9].

Systematyka[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1841 roku angielski zoolog John Edward Gray w publikacji pod redakcją George’a Greya o tytule Journals of Two Expeditions of Discovery in North-West and Western Australia^[1]. Jako gatunek typowy Gray wyznaczył pazurogona jedwabistego (O. unguifera).

Onychogalea (Onichogalea, Onychogale): gr. ονυξ onux, ονυχος onukhos „pazur”; γαλεή galeē lub γαλή galē „łasica”^[10].
