Historia obiektu

Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 11. September 1973 vom Detmolder Regierungspräsidenten genehmigt. Es vereinigt die Wappenbilder der bisherigen Landkreise Minden und Lübbecke. Die Schlüssel erinnern an das frühere Fürstentum bzw. Hochstift Minden; die Sparren stehen für die frühere Grafschaft Ravensberg zu denen große Teile des Kreisgebiets gehörten.

English: The arms were granted on September 11, 1973. They based of the old arms of the former districts of Minden and Lübbecke. The left part now shows the chevrons of county of Ravensberg. The keys are derived from the old arms of the Bishopric of Minden.
