Opis
English: Young satyr playing the plagiaulos (ancient wind instrument with a single pipe, apparently held horizontally). Roman work of the 1st-2nd century CE after a possibly Hellenistic original, inverting the pose of the so-called Resting Satyr, influenced by the styles of Praxiteles, Scopas and Lysippus. Mentioned in the Borghese Collection en 1638.
Français : Jeune satyre jouant du plagiaulos (instrument à vent ancien à un tube, semblant être tenu horizontalement). Œuvre romaine du Ier-IIe siècle ap.
