Wendy Ayres-Bennett (ur. 1958[1]) – brytyjska językoznawczyni, socjolingwistka. Zajmuje się problematyką standaryzacji i kodyfikacji językowej, ideologiami językowymi, polityką językową oraz wariacyjnością i zmiennością języka[2].
Studia bakalarskie z zakresu języka francuskiego i niemieckiego ukończyła w Girton College, Cambridge. Doktorat z językoznawstwa uzyskała na Uniwersytecie z Oksfordzkim[3]. W 2005 r. objęła stanowisko profesora filologii francuskiej i lingwistyki na University of Cambridge[4].
