Zatoka Robertsona[1] (ang. Robertson Bay[1] – zatoka w Antarktydzie Wschodniej, między Cape Barrow i Przylądkiem Adare’a w północnej Ziemi Wiktorii.

Nazwa[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Nazwana przez Jamesa Clarka Rossa (1800–1862) na cześć Johna Robertsona, chirurga na statku ekspedycji Rossa „Terror”[2][a].

Geografia[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Rozległa (37 × 40 km[3]) zatoka wcinająca się w północne wybrzeże Ziemi Wiktorii między przylądkami Cape Barrow i Przylądkiem Adare’a[2]. Jej mniejsze zatoki to m.in.: Colbeck Bay[4], Crescent Bay[5], Pressure Bay[6], Protection Cove[7] i Relay Bay[8].

Do zatoki uchodzą m.in. Cascade Glacier[9], Dugdale Glacier[10], Egeberg Glacier[11], Murray Glacier[12], Nameless Glacier[13], Newnes Glacier[14], Nielsen Glacier[15], Ommanney Glacier[16], Reusch Glacier[17], Scott Keltie Glacier[18], Shipley Glacier[19] i Warning Glacier[20].

Odkryta w 1841 roku przez Jamesa Clarka Rossa (1800–1862)[2].
