Opis

The photo shows a spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus), also known as an Andean bear, a South American bear species known for its characteristic facial pattern. Spectacled bears have dense, blackish-brown fur and a conspicuous light ring around their eyes. They are mainly found in the Andean regions of South America. These bears are omnivorous and feed on a variety of plants, fruits, insects and even small vertebrates. They have a strong stature and are good climbers. Spectacled bears are an endangered species, mainly due to habitat loss and poaching. Conservation measures are crucial to ensure their survival and to preserve these unique bears for future generations.
