Hi, not sure you visit Wikipedia anymore. I answered your question on Poland and Steinbach. As the right wing dudes are fast at deleting anything they dislike the answer might soon be gone from the Polish wikipedia so I decided to repeat it here:

i would really be interested why polish people hate erika steinbach so much. I am german and in germany almost nobody knows her. I do really not want to defend her i just want to understand the whole problem. thank you --Mary the Great (dyskusja) 23:43, 11 mar 2009 (CET)

Some Polish people. Mainly from right wing parties like PiS. These guys are organized and have lots of people edit sites such as Wikipedia to reflect their views as views of Poles. They had the state media for many years also (until recently), so that media also had their voice. However most Poles don't really care and don't hate Steinbach at all. These dudes just use her (and Germany) as well as Russia in internal disputes with non-right wing Poles (the majority, PiS has a 20% following only) and to prove that they are "the true patriots". BTW: I'm a Pole and I have absolutely nothing against Steinbach and her work (the center etc) and I think I have done much more for my country then many of the "patriots" that seem to only stir public disputes.
