Uzasadnienie zmian

Nasz szablon jest kopią tego z en:Wiki. Odszukałem autora ;-) i zadałem parę pytań:

Hi, currently I'm working on some telecommunication articles in polish Wikipedia, and I see that we have template related with "Mobile phone and data standards" based on en:Wiki solution. I would like to ask you (becuse you are the first author of this template) about origin of "0G" name used in included text. Could you tell me, where did you find this term? I'm afraid I don't know where I got it from. In literature, only 2G, 2.5G, 3G and 4G are recognized. If you want to stay true to literature, I would advise against using the 0G and 1G denominations. 1G is simply referred to as analog mobile phones, and 0G is closer to what you would call radio phones. In fact I think it might be reasonable to make this change in the English Wikipedia too. 130.233.16.105 23:01, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

No i w ogóle jeśli chodzi o te wynalazki typu 2.75 G, 3.75 G to:

Operatorzy uznali, że najlepiej używać jednej wspolnej nazwy 3GSM, oto wyniki głosowania - [1]. Ciekawe uzasadnienie Need to build on a service name already well established in consumers minds rather than trying to create a new “superbrand” which is impractical given operator need to focus ontheir own brands.

Kwestia EDGE

Różnie definiowane, raz jest zaliczane do 3G raz nie. GSM Assocation - oficjalne stowarzyszenie zrzeszające wszystkich operatorów definiuje GSM family jako GSM, GPRS, EDGE i 3GSM, czyli nie zalicza EDGE do 3G. I tak też to potraktowałem, bo w 3G dane i głos są przesyłane pakietowo, a EDGE jest używane na bazie sieci GSM gdzie głos ciągle jest przenoszony za pomocą komutacji łączy.
