Ithycyphus – rodzaj węży z rodziny Pseudoxyrhophiidae[3].
Zasięg występowania
[edytuj | edytuj kod]Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące na Madagaskarze (włącznie z sąsiednią wyspą Nosy Be); postulowane występowanie jednego z gatunków na Komorach nigdy nie zostało potwierdzone[3][4].

[edytuj | edytuj kod]Ithycyphus: gr. ιθυς ithus „prosty”[5]; κυφος kuphos „pochylony do przodu, garbaty”, od κυπτω kuptō „pochylać się, garbić”[6].
