Zane Grey w Australii

Zane Grey (ur. 31 stycznia 1872 w Zanesville, zm. 23 października 1939 w Altadena) – pisarz amerykański.

Autor poczytnych powieści, z których większość została zekranizowana, niektóre zostały przetłumaczone na język polski. Jest autorem licznych westernów np. Jeźdźcy purpurowego stepu (1912). Przyczynił się do stworzenia nowego gatunku literackiego – westernu. Napisał przeszło 80 książek o tematyce Dzikiego Zachodu.

Wszystkie jego utwory objęte były w 1951 roku zapisem cenzury w Polsce, podlegały natychmiastowemu wycofaniu z bibliotek[1].
