Przezczaszkowa stymulacja prądem stałym (ang. transcranial direct current stimulationt – tDCS) – procedura lecznicza oparta o neuromodulację poprzez dostarczanie słabego prądu stałego do kory mózgowej przy użyciu elektrod umieszczanych na głowie.
Zastosowanie
Metoda ta ma udowodnione działanie w redukcji objawów depresji[1][2].
Wstępne badania wykazują jej skuteczność w leczeniu zaburzeń lękowych[3] oraz PTSD[4].
Nie wykazano pozytywnego wpływu tDCS na funkcjonowanie poznawcze u osób z depresją[5], ani na leczenie deficytów pamięci u pacjentów z chorobą Alzheimera[6].
