Serconos[2] (Cardioderma) – rodzaj ssaków z rodziny lironosowatych (Megadermatidae).
Zasięg występowania[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Rodzaj obejmuje jeden żyjący współcześnie gatunek występujący we wschodniej Afryce[3][4].
Morfologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Długość ciała 70–77 mm, ogona brak, długość przedramienia 53–59 mm; masa ciała 21–35 g[5][6].
Systematyka[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Rodzaj zdefiniował w 1873 roku niemiecki zoolog Wilhelm Peters w artykule o gatunkach nietoperzy opublikowanym na łamach Monatsberichte der Königlichen Preussische Akademie des Wissenschaften zu Berlin[1]. Na gatunek typowy Peters wyznaczył (oznaczenie monotypowe) serconosa afrykańskiego (C. cor).
Etymologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]
Cardioderma: gr. καρδια kardia ‘serce’; δερμα derma, δερματος dermatos ‘skóra’[7].
