Eugene Nida

Eugene Nida (ur. 11 listopada 1914 w Oklahoma City, zm. 25 sierpnia 2011 w Brukseli[1]) – amerykański lingwista i teoretyk przekładu biblijnego uznawany za jednego z czołowych badaczy we współczesnych studiach nad teorią tłumaczenia. Nida współpracował z Wycliffe Bible Translators, Summer Institute of Linguistics oraz Amerykańskim Towarzystwem Biblijnym i jest autorem wielu prac na temat teorii i praktyki tłumaczenia Biblii. Nida jest też założycielem i wieloletnim redaktorem czasopisma naukowego The Bible Translator (1949-).
