William B. Irvine

William Braxton Irvine (ur. 6 marca 1952) – amerykański filozof[1]. Przedstawiciel i popularyzator stoicyzmu współczesnego.

Doktoryzował się z filozofii na Uniwersytecie Kalifornijskim w Los Angeles. Od 1983 pracuje na Wright State University[1].
Znany z popularnego wstępu do stoicyzmu współczesnego, bestsellerowej książki A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy (2008). W tematyce stoicyzmu zainteresowany szczególnie problemem obelg[2].
Publikował m.in. w Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Salon, Time i BBC[3]. Występował także na konferencji stoickiej Stoicon[2].
