Hrabstwo powstało w 1836 roku[3]. Na jego terenie znajdują się miejscowości: Byhalia, Holly Springs (siedziba administracyjna), Potts Camp oraz obszary niemunicypalne: Bethlehem, Blackwater, Cornersville, Ida B Wells Station, Lake Center, Laws Hill, Lebanon, Mount Pleasant, Red Banks, Taska, Victoria, Waterford, Winborn[4].
