Steven Pinker (ur. 18 września 1954 w Montrealu) – psycholog amerykański.

Steven Pinker obecnie pracuje na Uniwersytecie Harvarda. Jest autorem wielu publikacji popularyzujących dokonania różnych dyscyplin naukowych, m.in.: neurobiologii, psychologii, językoznawstwa, teorii ewolucji, teorii gier etc. Przez 21 lat był profesorem w Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences w Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a w 2003 roku powrócił do Uniwersytetu Harvarda.
W książce "Language Instinct" postulował ewolucyjne uzasadnienie wrodzonego charakteru języka jako biologicznego instynktu. Tym samym Pinker wdał się w debatę nad genealogią gramatyki uniwersalnej Noama Chomsky'ego. W kolejnych pracach z dziedziny językoznawstwa Pinker analizuje czasowniki nieregularne oraz język ludzki jako odzwierciedlenie natury ludzkiej - "The Stuff of Thought. Language as a Window Into Human Nature".
