John Allen Astin (ur. 30 marca 1930 w Baltimore, Maryland, USA) - aktor, swoją popularność osiągnął dzięki roli patriarchy rodu Gomeza Addamsa w serialu TV The Addams Family z (1964).

Uczęszczał na Uniwersytet Johna Hopkinsa gdzie studiował matematykę. Jednocześnie poświęcił się aktorstwu, grał małe role teatralne i filmowe. Pierwszą większą rolę zagrał w West Side Story (1961) W 1964 otrzymał rolę serialu o rodzinie Adamsów. W 1971 zagrał w innym serialu Bunny O'Hare, następnie w serialu telewizyjnym Evil Roy Slade (1972), w komedii Freaky Friday (1976) oraz w podwójnej roli European Vacation (1985).
