Grizon^[9] (Galictis) – rodzaj ssaka z podrodziny Galictidinae w obrębie rodziny łasicowatych (Mustelidae).

Zasięg występowania[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Ameryce od Meksyku po Argentynę^[10]^[11]^[12].

Morfologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Długość ciała (bez ogona) 28–55 cm, długość ogona 12–19,3 cm; masa ciała 1–3,3 kg^[11].

Etymologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Galictis (Gallictis): gr. γαλεη galeē lub γαλη galē „łasica”; ικτις iktis, ικτιδις iktidis „łasica”^[13].
Grison i Grisonia: zlatynizowana zwyczajowa nazwa tego gatunku, od fr. gris „szary”; przyrostek zdrabniający -on^[14]. Gatunek typowy: Viverra vittata Schreber, 1776.
Grisonella: rodzaj Grison Oken, 1816; łac. przyrostek zdrabniający -ella^[15]. Gatunek typowy: Mustela cuja Molina, 1782.
