Wacken Open Air w 2005 roku

Wacken Open Air - największy na świecie festiwal muzyki metalowej. Organizowany jest co roku od 1990 w miasteczku Wacken w Szlezwik-Holsztynie na północy Niemiec. W 2006 roku na występ 77 zespołów przyjechało ponad 62.000 osób.

W 2008 roku na występ 76 zespołów przyjechało oficjalnie ponad 65.000 osób, w sumie przyjechało 75.000 osób.
