Moby (właśc. Richard Melville Hall; ur. 11 września 1965 w Harlemie w Nowym Jorku[2]) – amerykański wokalista, muzyk, kompozytor, multiinstrumentalista oraz DJ i producent muzyczny. Zajmuje się szeroko rozumianą muzyką elektroniczną. Jest aktywistą praw zwierząt, weganinem.

Wychowany został przez matkę, ponieważ jego ojciec zginął w wypadku samochodowym, gdy Richard miał 2 lata. Pseudonim „Moby” zyskał już w dzieciństwie. Pochodzi ona z tytułu słynnej powieści „Moby Dick” Hermana Melville’a, z którym artystę łączą więzy rodzinne[3].

W 2016 napisał autobiografię zatytułowaną Porcelain. Wspomnienia.
