Julian Rosefeldt (ur. 1965 r. w Monachium) – niemiecki reżyser filmowy i twórca instalacji artystycznych.

Życiorys[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Julian Rosefeldt studiował architekturę w Monachium i Barcelonie^[1]. Po uzyskaniu dyplomu w 1994 r. rozpoczął współpracę z kolegą ze studiów – Piero Steinle. Często współpracuje ze studiem Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz Thomasa Ostermeiera. Artysta żyje i pracuje w Berlinie od 1999 r. od czasu wyjazdu na rezydencję w berlińskim Sammlung Hoffmann. W 2009 r. wykładał Sztukę Mediów i Media Design na Bauhaus-Universität w Weimarze. Od 2010 r. jest członkiem Bayerischen Akademie der Schönen Künste na wydziale Filmu i Sztuki Mediów a od 2011 r. wykłada na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Monachium^[2].

Twórczość[edytuj | edytuj kod]

Instalacje wideo Rosefeldta są wyrafinowane ale i bogate wizualnie, często prezentowane jako panoramiczne wielokanałowe projekcje. Ich styl jest bardzo różny i waha się od prezentacji, przez manifest, dokument, teatr czy zwykłą fabułę łącząc razem wszystkie te elementy^[3]. Pierwsze realizacje były wykonane na taśmach filmowych 16mm i 35mm z czasem jednak przeszedł na nowsze technologie^[1]. Jego filmy to skomplikowane przedsięwzięcia i bogate w treści założenia. Przykładem może być jego popularna realizacja z 2015 r. Manifesto, w której aktorka Cate Blanchett odgrywa 13 różnych ról na osobnych ekranach prezentując i jednocześnie oddając hołd tradycji artystycznych manifestów XX wieku^[4]^[5].
