Donald McNicol Sutherland (ur. 17 lipca 1935 w Saint John) – kanadyjski aktor filmowy.

Zarys biografii

Urodził się w Saint John, w prowincji Nowy Brunszwik. Studiował na Uniwersytecie Toronto w Victoria College. Potem przeniósł się do London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Następnie zdobył popularność jako aktor filmowy grający w horrorach i dreszczowcach.

Sukcesy Sutherlandowi przyniosły m.in. role w Parszywej dwunastce (1967), MASH (1970, rola wojskowego chirurga Hawkeye Pierce'a) oraz Złocie dla zuchwałych (1970) i Klute (1971). Jego bardzo aktywna kariera aktorska trwa do dzisiaj. Aktor mierzy 193 cm wzrostu.

Jego syn Kiefer Sutherland jest również znanym aktorem.

W 1985 wystąpił w teledysku Kate Bush do utworu "Cloudbusting" (reż. Julian Doyle). Zagrał w nim ojca Kate – wynalazcę-marzyciela.
